JYOTISH NOTES

NEW MOON - Low tide, restore.

3rd October, 4:49 a.m., Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Sidereal Zodiac: New Moon in Virgo (Hasta Nakshatra, Taurus Pada).

WAXING

RESTORE, renew, re-energise, prepare good ground.

Plant seeds of intention, tend, nurture growth.

Take some time to quietly reflect on what you have cleared away in order for good growth? What do you want to create and nurture in your life moving forward?

AYURVEDA NOTES

'Our body is always present.' (Sam Geppi)
  • Value my natural instruments of perception.

  • Come back to my five senses. Use them. Keep them well.

  • Keep the five elements of my body well; choose natural, quality inputs.

  • Breathe deeply. Inhale and exhale.

  • Be identified with Life, as a life; whole and part of the wholeness.

  • Be present in my body and not in my mind (neither intellect, memory or imagination).

  • Keep distance between my conscious awareness and my life-long instrument of my body; that carries my life-force/spirit and complete expression of sacred nature.

  • How am I using my body, nature, and life-time today?

  • Do I feel whole and harmonious within myself and the quality of life I am creating for myself and expressing today?

  • Elevate my desire to do what keeps me well physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

  • My life is my responsibility. Beyond childhood, I choose how I spend it and how I experience it through my awareness, intention, choice, and response.

My inner instruments of perception:

We cannot do without the Sun or the Moon for life to flourish. We cannot do without solar power and warmth for creation, light in all forms, transformation, and growth. We would be burnt out without the nourishing waters controlled by the Moon. Herein lies the powerful dance and harmony between Sun and Moon, Light and Dark, sunrise and sunset, the wisdom of wax and wane and the natural balance to prevent both burnout, flood and drought. We must also express our light for it to energise and re-inspire energy and expression, like a flame lighting other flames, a "torchbearer" adding natural light to the world for a while. We must also express our love for it to nourish our life and add natural love to the world for a while. This all happens through our life and physical instrument of our body and bio-energetic nature.

Pure intellect and capacity to directly notice, gather, and share details. Neutral in and of itself.

Right use of mind:

'I am a Life, much more than my mind.'

First, we have to accept that we are a whole Life and one individual expression of Nature, not just our mind. And that our human mind is a phenomenal instrument of perception for keeping our whole life well from within. We can practise taking the position of witness to keep distance between our awareness and our river of feeling and thought that flows through our mind, and not be attached to or identified with these feelings or thoughts.

We can simply observe them and choose what we will hold onto and let go of.

We can be aware of what makes us feel good and what doesn't in very real ways.

We can take daily focused action with our courage and commitment towards choosing inputs, digestion, and use of energy that are nourishing, meaningful, purposeful, and joyful.

We can use our mind FOR our life not against our life, beginning from within our feeling and thought towards our own life. We must care for our own life while we care for others.

What do I feel and think about myself? Why?

Do I value my own life and natural role and contribution enough to take daily care of my body, nature, and how I use my own life-time?

OBSERVING NATURE, CHOOSING BALANCE

A MOTHER'S REFLECTIONS

A Mother's Meditation on Children ...

They are not an extension of me, they are their own piece of life, as am I.

I have the sacred privilege to nourish them for awhile and help them grow into who they feel they should be.

May I do the best I can to provide a loving and inclusive atmosphere.

May I learn what I can and be grateful for the experience.

May I work upon myself so I can be peaceful in the positive example I provide; a light to follow when the way seems dark.

It is such a privilege to be a mother – we create and nurture new life. The stages are profound and the emotional river is wide, and we learn to be courageous, protective and generous as we include another life within our own. May you treasure your motherhood journey and care for your own nature well so you can nourish the natures of your children better.

With kindness,

Didileia
