Right Use of Our Power
Magha is a powerful nakshatra and this high tide with the Moon will support lion-hearted courage. We have to be careful how we use our in-born power emotionally. Magha has the backing of the ancestors and so we want to use this time to be brave to strengthen and celebrate the good growth that we want in our life, while being very clear about who we are straightforward and truthful with. Showing gratitude, respect and loyalty to family and friends that have nurtured and supported us will be a good use of this full moon.
With Magha, we must be careful of our pride and expressing arrogance because our self-assuredness is a great strength.
Let us use this full moon in Magha to honour every bit of good in our life, and be brave to share our gifts and wisdom with those in need of our medicine, as we empty ourselves once again towards the New Moon to restore.

INSPIRED BY NATURE
The last plums and apples have been harvested and red strawberries occasionally appear amongst the dill if we are lucky enough to notice them before the birds get them. Silverbeet is coming thick and fast, and the gotu kola, peppermint, warrigal greens, rosemary, thyme, and lemon balm are abundant. Mandarins and limes are beginning to form.
Weather is still very changeable, from hot to cool within each week. We need to balance Vata and Pitta with the erratic, drier conditions. Adequate moisture is key as well as light meals that balance predominant sour taste. Natural sweetness in moderation is helpful. It is a good time for cooling herbal teas such as raspberry and hibiscus, peppermint, or rosehip and hibiscus.
